We pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming and friendly school, offering the very best education for the children in our care.

The British School has been in operation since 1968 and was originally set up by The British Embassy, for its diplomatic children. The school has long since become self-financing and self-governing, with an elected parent body representing the Management Committee. The British Ambassador remains as the patron of the school.

The school has recently undergone significant development due to the continued rise in student numbers; which have more than trebled over the past four years. We currently provide education to children from Nursery to Year 9 and have 200 children attend the school. Recent development of adjoining buildings has allowed us to increase the number of teaching rooms, a Key Stage 3 library, a specialist Art room, DT room, MFL room, fitness suite and a separate shaded courtyard. Even with this significant expansion, we have managed to retain a very warm atmosphere, where children from over thirty different nationalities, of all ages mix happily together.
